Fitted with a siren for safety when operated, the mobile robot uses Bluetooth for remote control. The UV lamps can be switched on/off remotely. With 3 UV lamps of 55 W each, Prabha can disinfect a room of 12 x 12 sq feet in less than an hour. It also has provision for using 6 lamps and can disinfect the same room in less than 30 minutes. It can be used to disinfect rooms where patients of communicable diseases were present; can be used to disinfect restrooms; medical equipment etc.
