With the self-driving wheelchair, Self-E 2.0, people with mobility issues need not depend on other for their movements. Patients in isolation wards can be transported without the need for the operator, using Self-E. With the help of maps created for particular facility, the wheelchair can operate at autonomously. The users need to provide only touch as command to specify the destination in the map displayed on the screen of Tablet. The Self-E automatically takes them to the destination. With Self-E, the users can have hands-free navigation in their homes.
The operator/caretaker using a Bluetooth application which can be installed in any smartphone or using a wireless joystick controller can operate the wheelchair at a safe distance of 1m up to 4m. Patients in isolation wards can be transported without the need for the operator to touch the wheelchair or the patients. It can be very useful for frontline workers in hospitals who transport patients in mechanical wheelchairs where they need to touch the wheelchair in order to push it.

The Corona virus is spreading rapidly by touch, breath etc. We are proposing a powered wheelchair with negative pressure isolation hood, to transport the covid 19 patients with teleoperation control.COVID patients often need to travel from the isolation ward to various labs for blood tests, x-ray etc. This wheelchair can transport COVID patients within hospitals avoiding causing infection to others. The patients can be seated on the wheelchair covered by the negative pressure isolation hood and the operator/caretaker can use the teleoperation control method and operate the wheelchair from a safe distance of upto 4 meters without the need to touch the wheelchair. The negative pressure isolation not only prevents the spread of pathogenic microorganisms, but also permits rapid and flexible isolation transport. The isolation hood must be airtight. The air discharged from ventilation is through standard medical grade filters and must be purified to ensure no harmful pathogens are spreading out.
JOYSTICK CONTROLLED WHEELCHAIR
These is a powered wheelchair for users with mobility issues. Two versions are there in this MG-2205.PW Non-foldable powered wheelchair and MG-2206.PW Foldable powered wheelchair.
